THIRTY DAYS, THIRTY PORTRAITS

As a way of "shooting from the hip," I walked around the streets of NYC and took portraits of people I randomly met, for thirty days in a row. With the exception of Cynthia, the local crossing guard, and Abraham, who owns a nearby deli, all of these people were strangers, so walking up to them and asking them to participate in this project was no easy task. To my surprise, though, I rarely heard "No" – everyone played along while I chatted them up, posed them and moved them to different locations when possible.
